WHAT PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE WITH THE OSHAWA HAWKEYES?        

SPRING/SUMMER

The Hawkeyes offer rep and house league programs in the Spring/Summer.  For 2018 these programs are:

HOUSE LEAGUE (Touch or Flag Football)
Atom (2008-2011)
Peewee (2006-2007)

REP
Peewee   (2006-2007)
Bantam   (2004-2005)
Junior      (2002-2003)
Senior     (1999-2001)

The spring/summer season commences in November 30, 2017  with 11 weeks of Strength and Conditioning every Thursday night from 6-9pm at Crossfit Dioxide (1380 Hopkins Street in Whitby) See individual team schedule hereOptional Strength and Conditioning classes will be available on Sunday afternoons at a cost of $100 per player.  This program will run from December 3, 2017-April 1, 2018.  Classes will be from 2-3pm and it will be limited to the first 20 players who register.

Full equipment indoor practices for REP (Peewee-Senior) commence in March and will continue until April 30th at the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex Fieldhouse (99 Thornton Rd S, Oshawa).  Times and dates To Be Advised


New players are welcome in any Division.

FALL 

The Fall league runs in September to November  for players born from 2005 to 2010 (for the 2017 season)

Players renting equipment in the Spring/Summer season can retain their equipment for the Fall 2017 season.

THE COST

SPRING/SUMMER

REP-Peewee/Bantam/Junior/ Senior- $150 Non-refundable registration fee (this amount is NOT deducted from Rep fees)
House League- Atom/Peewee- $75 OPTIONAL Strength and Conditioning fee  (this amount is NOT deducted from House League fees)

House League fee- TBA
Peewee Rep fee- TBA
Bantam/Junior/ Senior Rep fee- TBA

$100 non-refundable equipment rental fee (includes helmet, shoulder pads, knee pads, mouth guard.  Players must provide their own cleats, girdles, gloves etc)

FALL

$300 rep fee + $100 fundraising fee (to register, go here

ATTIRE

Weather appropriate attire should be worn under the equipment. Long sleeve under-shirt and full length under-pants are a good idea as the temperatures drop. An over sized jacket that can be draped over the shoulder pads on a cold or wet day could also be considered (and mitts or gloves). Talk to your team coach before or after a practice if you have any questions.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The Atom and Peewee divisions will emphasize involvement and fun for the kids, varying team size is currently being explored.

Practice and game fields will be determined when the teams are formed. 

Rep outdoor practices will begin May 1st and will run every Tuesday and Thursday evening until the end of the season at the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex Bantam 6-8 pm, Junior 7-9 pm, Senior 8-10 pm.  

Rep games are generally held on Saturdays.  The schedule, once finalized, will be found on each team's webpage or on the Organization Calendar.  

 

WAYS TO HELP

The Oshawa Junior Football Club is entirely run by volunteers including the board members, coaches and team managers. There is always ways to help if you have the time, just mention it to your team manager or coach or another league executive.
