The Hawkeyes offer rep and house league programs in the Spring/Summer.  For 2017 these programs are:

Atom (2007-2010)
Peewee (2005-2006)

Peewee OMFL   (2005-2006)
Bantam OVFL   (2003-2004)
Junior OVFL     (2001-2002)
Senior OVFL     (1998-2000)

The spring/summer season commenced in November 2016 with 5 weeks of indoor training.  The Strength and Conditioning program began and January and runs every Thursday night from 6-10pm at Crossfit Dioxide (1380 Hopkins Street in Whitby) See individual team schedule here.

Full equipment indoor practices for OFVL (Bantam-Senior) commenced on February 27th and continue until March 31st at the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex Fieldhouse (99 Thornton Rd S, Oshawa).  Times and dates can be found on each teams webpage, or can be view on the Organization Schedule here

Indoor practices for House League (Atom, Peewee) and OMFL (Peewee) teams will commence on Thursday April 6th from 6-8 pm at the UOIT Campus Fieldhouse (2000 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa).  These practices will be full equipment.  

New players are welcome in any Division.


The Fall league runs in September to November  for players born from 2005 to 2010 (for the 2017 season)

Players renting equipment in the Spring/Summer season can retain their equipment for the Fall 2017 season.



$150 Non-refundable registration fee (this fee is mandatory for rep players, optional for House League players that are participating in the Strength and Conditioning Program)- This fee has been reduced to $75 for players registered after February 15th, 2016 that did not participate in the S & C Program, however, the first $150 of fee is non-refundable as per the Oshawa Hawkeyes refund policy

$100 non-refundable equipment rental fee (includes helmet, shoulder pads, knee pads, mouth guard.  Players must provide their own cleats, girdles, gloves etc)

Weather appropriate attire should be worn under the equipment. Long sleeve under-shirt and full length under-pants are a good idea as the temperatures drop. An over sized jacket that can be draped over the shoulder pads on a cold or wet day could also be considered (and mitts or gloves). Talk to your team coach before or after a practice if you have any questions.


The Atom and Peewee divisions will emphasize involvement and fun for the kids, varying team size is currently being explored.

Practice and game fields will be determined when the teams are formed. 

House League games and practices will be Monday and Wednesday evenings from May-July.

OVFL outdoor practices will begin April 4th and will run every Tuesday and Thursday evening until the end of the season at the Oshawa Civic Recreation Complex (Field 1 from April- May 30th, Field 2 from June 1 on) Bantam 6-8 pm, Junior 7-9 pm, Senior 8-10 pm.  

OVFL games are generally held on Saturdays.  The schedule, once finalized, will be found on each team's webpage or on the Organization Calendar.  The 2017 season commences Saturday, May 20th and ends with the OVFL Championship Day on Saturday, August 5th.  



The Oshawa Junior Football Club is entirely run by volunteers including the board members, coaches and team managers. There is always ways to help if you have the time, just mention it to your team manager or coach or another league executive.  At each game there is a responsibility for the home team to clean up the field and to "hold the sticks".
